Opportunities
British Waterways owns a significant portfolio of property and land within the East Midlands. This is held for the following reasons:
- to provide income and/or capital growth which can be invested in the region's waterways
- to provide an operational base within the region
- to enhance the visitor experience on the waterway
- to enhance non-leisure usage of the waterway eg freight use
Occasionally, land or buildings, which provide a low rental income or are no longer required as an operational base, are put on the market.
