Drive to create vital habitats to boost owl numbers

Tunnel End Reservoir next to Standedge Tunnel will see new barn owl nest boxes installed this week in an effort to help the threatened bird flourish in canal side homes. The work is being carried out thanks to a £1,000 grant from The Waterway Trust’s Small Grants Scheme.
