Waterway projects in the Lower Lee Valley
British Waterways is working with a number of partners in the Lower Lee Valley to improve the public realm around the waterway and to encourage further use of the River Lee Navigation in the build up to and during the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as in Legacy.
Proposed projects include a new floating walkway underneath the A11 at Bow and towpath upgrades, improving access for walkers and cyclists to the area, a water bus/taxi service linking Limehouse, Three Mills, Old Ford and Tottenham Hale and the restoration of House Mill.
Information about these projects will be made available as they develop, if you would like to discuss any of these projects please contact British Waterways’ external projects manager, Tav Kazmi on 020 7985 7209 email tav.kazmi@britishwaterways.co.uk
