North Glasgow
'The Glasgow Canal Regeneration Partnership' is a joint venture partnership formed in November 2004 between ISIS Waterside Regeneration and Glasgow City Council.
This is a unique partnership agreement between the Council and ISIS Waterside Regeneration which provides the opportunity for developments to be undertaken by ISIS taking advantage of GCC and British Waterways land ownerships to help maximise the regeneration potential of the canal corridor.
The partnership covers an area of 1000 acres centred around the Glasgow Branch of the Forth and Clyde Canal passing through communities such as Maryhill, Ruchill, Firhill, Westercommon, Hamiltonhill and Port Dundas. The partnership agreement also makes provision for reinvestment of profits from development projects into an investment fund to target a range of eligible projects from infrastructure to regeneration aimed at tackling social inclusion.
