Welcome to the British Waterways South West Website
In the South West our network covers 117 miles (188 km) of inland canals and 42 miles (68 km) of rivers, from the River Severn at Stourport in the north to Reading at the eastern end of the Kennet & Avon Canal.
The waterways that we look after in the South West are:
- Gloucester & Sharpness Canal including Gloucester Historic Docks
- Bridgwater & Taunton Canal
- Kennet & Avon Canal
- River Severn navigation from Gloucester to Stourport on Severn
- Stroudwater Navigation
