The Cotswold Canals Trust at Saul Junction
The Cotswold Canals Trust and partners (including British Waterways) has been campaigning for the restoration of the Stroudwater Navigation and Thames & Severn Canal for a number of years. The Trust has an active force of volunteers who are working on the restoration projects. The Trust is part of the Cotswold Canals Partnership which includes British Waterways, the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and local authorities.
The Junction Heritage Group
The Parishes surrounding Saul Junction on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal have a wealth of stories that link to the waterway. A project group has been formed and is working with us to produce an electronic archive of the local stories. Already the group has been formally constituted and the intention is to apply for a lottery grant to fund the work.
