A number of customer improvement schemes have been undertaken at Saul on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal, enhancing the area for all of our visitors. The permanent moorings have been improved, which involved levelling the bank, pile capping and mooring rings.

A picnic area has been added as a result of a partnership with the Cotswold Canals Trust. Two new picnic benches have been installed next to the Heritage Centre, providing visitors with a visitor friendly area which opened in Easter 2005. A trellis around the gas tank next to the picnic area has also been installed.
