About Us
Wales & Border Counties waterways is home to many famous historical waterway assets including
Hayhurst Swing Bridge, Pontcycsylite Aqueduct and Anderton Boat Lift.
Canals and rivers are havens for wildlife. We care for many miles of environmentally significant waterway; the entirely rural Montgomery Canal is home to many Special Scientific Interest Sites.
We are actively working to promote and unlock the potential of the waterways and are fully committed to the completion of all our restoration and development projects, whilst continuing to support other key projects that contribute to, and inspire regeneration and investment.
