Wales and Border Counties Waterways is committed to investing and conserving the environment and its heritage. We care for over 300miles (187.5km) of rivers and waterways, 560 Bridges, 198 Locks, 612 Listed Buildings, 6 Sites of Special Scientific Interest Interest (SSSIs), 87 Aqueducts and 6 Reservoirs. Working in successful partnerships we are increasing biodiversity and enhancing the environment for leisure, business and community use. We are safe-guarding a fascinating heritage that is boosting the region's tourism, each year rejuvenated waterways and their structures continue to attract thousands of new visitors.
